About
I am a doctoral student specializing in genre theory, rhetorical style, rhetoric of science, and technical communication. My research examines genres of science communication and production of scientific knowledge online, focusing on nuclear energy controversies. My exam and dissertation committee is led by Carolyn R. Miller (Chair, NCSU), and completed by William J. Kinsella (NCSU), Ann M. Penrose (NCSU), Jordynn M. Jack (University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill), and Randy Allen Harris (University of Waterloo).
I am Research Assistant to Dr. Carolyn R. Miller, SAS Institute Distinguished Professor of Rhetoric and Technical Communication at NCSU. I also teach classes offer by the Professional Writing Program.
